"into the forest"

For drama club, Miss Rosenberg divided everybody into groups of three. Lucia, Bentley, and I were split into one group.
She assigned us a project. We had to write and perform an original movie, which meant writing the plot and script, filming and directing the scene from different angles and perspectives, working to make the scene life-like, creating props and a backdrop, choosing costumes, and most importantly, acting it out.
I was the director and the cameraman, Bentley was the actress, and Lucia was the writer of the play. We all gave a little input about the script and the essence of it. We decided to be risky, and chose a dark connotation.
Here's the script and a few pictures to go along with it. It's about a fourteen-year old girl named Coriander Brooks running away from the wretched orphanage her neighbor had taken her to when she was only a child. The script is basically Bentley/Coriander narrating what happened last night. I hope they really captured the mood:

"Into the Forest"
Bentley Eastlake as Coriander Brooks
Written by Lucia Fields
Directed by Elune Sinclaire

"I pressed my feet slowly among the damp grass as quietly as I could.

If I'd waken up Maribelle, a stray hound that lived right across the entrance of the forest, I would've gotten caught.

Once I made it to the locked gate, I somehow managed to unlatch the lock by picking at it with a stick.

After what felt like days of walking, I shoved a large gulp of water down my throat, and continued clapping my feet across the ground.

'Callidex trees. I'm on the right track.' I thought.

I turned around to what would be my last look of Violethaze.

'I'm beginning to see the entrance of the woods.' I exclaimed to myself in my head.

Just a couple steps more,

and I'm into the forest.
And then I woke up. Running away from the orphanage was just one big dream.
But why was I in the woods, in a surrounding patch of green?"

Fin.

I hope you guys liked the pictures! I hope I can convince Bentley to let me upload the video, she says that her acting wasn't the best in the scene, but she did splendid!

Kisses, Elune.
